Yet-to-be-identified gunmen have abducted a family of five in Ajowa Akoko, a community in Akoko north-west LGA of Ondo state.

The victims, Ibrahim Olusa, a native of Daja Ajowa, his wife, and three children were said to be plying the Ajowa-Ayere expressway when they were attacked and abducted on Monday night, April 5.

They were said to be returning to Abuja after spending the Easter holiday in Ajowa Akoko. Family sources say the suspected kidnappers have contacted the family, demanding N10 million ransom for their release.

The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.
