Nigerian singer and songwriter, Omawunmi Magbele has revealed she was a baby mama for four years before she eventually got married.

 

According to her, being a baby mama was her choice before her husband, Tosin Yussuf, insisted he was going to marry her.

Omawunmistated this in an interview with TVC, saying she made the decision to stay away from marriage after the birth of their daughter until she is certain they were both ready for marriage.

She wrote:

“I did it. I was a baby mama for four years before Papa Kamila decided to marry me. I don’t know why. I was a baby mama for four years and I decided and said I don’t want to marry until we are good and ready”.

Speaking further the talented singer emphasized that nobody has the right to question a woman’s decision.

 

Singer, Omawunmi, tied the knot with the love of her life, Tosin Yusuf, a Real Estate Broker in 2018 in Warri, Delta State. The couple who have two children, had their traditional marriage years after they got legally married at the Ikoyi Registry.

Omawunmirose to prominence after her participation as a contestant on Idols West Africa. Her outgoing personality and unique voice also endeared her to many. Some of her hit tracks include ‘Bottom Belle’, ‘If you ask me’ and ‘warn yourself’.

Omawumi has also featured in movies some of which are: House of Gold and musical, Inale.
