Loyalists of now embattled Yoruba Nation Agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho on Wednesday staged a protest following the raid by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) at his Soka residence Ibadan.

Recall globalvoice last week has reported that DSS with joint team of security operatives raided Igboho’s residence based on an intelligence report.

DSS spokesperson Peter Afunaya said a total of seven AK 47 rifles were recovered, alongside pump action guns and 5,000 rounds of ammunition including other weapons.

The raid however had been condemned by many Nigerians including activist lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka.

Supporters of Igboho on Wednesday gathered in front of his house to protest before moving round the metropolis of Ibadan.

Many berated the operatives for declaring Igboho wanted, while some others stated that Federal Government must pay the N500m damages as requested by Igboho’s lawyer.

Many of the supporters carried placards while some others chanted “No retreat, no surrender!â€, “Oodua Nation!â€, “Sunday Igboho is not a criminal!†amongst others.
