The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to the re-arrest of its self-acclaimed leader, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government on Sunday, June 27.

Globalvoice had reported that Kanu was arrested by a combined team of Nigerian and foreign security agents in a coordinated interception.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, on Tuesday, at an emergency media briefing in his office confirmed the arrest of Kanu.

Recall Personal Assistant to President, Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad, took to his Facebook account to state that President Buhari’s language is now clear for everyone to understand.

“The language is now so clear for everyone to understand,” he wrote.

Reacting, the IPOB media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful Wednesday, said the group "won't relent in its struggle for Biafra restoration".

"We'll not relent. We're coming out in a different way. They think they have gotten us but they haven't seen war," Powerful told globalvoice.
